Yangon-Bagan – Mt.Popa- Yangon (To add the price of Popa mountain Resort Lunch rate and Bullock cart rate on Day 5)

Day 1 .Yangon Arrival

Upon arrival to Yangon, capital of Myanmar (Golden Land), our guide will accompany you to your hotel. Stay overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 2. Yangon Sightseeing

 

Yangon is a major commercial and political hub in Myanmar and is also a big tourist attraction. There are many things to see and do in this wonderful city. Your city tour starts at Botahtaung Pagoda, with a walk downtown along Strand Road and the Yangon River towards Pansoedan Street and the historic colonial buildings. You’ll also see Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Mahabandola Garden, and the Immanuel Baptist Church. In the afternoon visit “Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda” (reclining Buddha) and go shopping at Bogyoke (Scott) Market. End your day on a high with the sunset view over Shwedagon Pagoda and dinner at “Kara Wait”. You’ll also see traditional dancing before returning to your hotel in Yangon.

Day 3. Yangon fly to Bagan

 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport. Hop on a short flight to Bagan where the afternoon will be spent watching some of the many highlights of this famous archaeological site. On arrival at Bagan, start with a visit to the Myingaba village area by horse cart. First, visit Gubyaukgyi Temple, Nanpaya temple, built in the Mon style with intricate stone carvings, and see the huge Buddha images in Manuha Pagoda. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the 11th century Pyatsashwegu, showing frescoes with ancient Mon captions on the interior walls. Stop at Myazedi stupa to see Myanmar’s ‘Rosetta Stone’, bearing inscriptions written in four languages. In the evening, return back to your hotel and overnight in Bagan. Dinner will be served at your stay hotel.

 

Day 4: Bagan Full Day sightseeing

 

In the early morning drive to the Ayeyar jetty to get on the boat to TantkyiTaung Pagoda situated on a hill on the western side of Ayeyarwaddy River. In the afternoon visit Manuha Temple. Behind this temple is Bagan's first "gu-style" cave shrine. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to Myinkaba village to see their ancient temple adorned with well-preserved paintings and also have a look at a local craft shop, where lacquer ware is expertly made by hand. Before heading back for dinner our guide will show some of the best spots to take in the beautiful panoramic view over the ancient city. Return back to your hotel and overnight in Bagan. Dinner will be served at your stay hotel.

Day 5 : Bagan – Mt. Popa Sightseseing

 

Today you’ll journey to the southern part of Bagan to Mount Popa. This is an extinct volcano which is now a holy mountain. On the way visit a traditional oil press machine, making products from the palm including toddy juice and jaggery. Take a ride in a traditional ox cart to a local village, passing the farming landscape. Lunch at Oasis Place Hotel in Popa.

At the top of Mount Popa are monasteries and pagodas where pilgrims usually come to pray and celebrate. The view from the summit is spectacular so don’t forget your camera. Transfer back to Bagan in time for the beautiful sunset views from the temples. You’ll visit Dhammayangyi Temple and Payathonezu Temple. Overnight at Bagan.

Day 6. Bagan fly back to Yangon

 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Nyaung U airport and take the morning flight to Yangon. You will be transferred to your hotel. Either spends an afternoon strolling through town and shopping or enjoy a leisure day at Yangon. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and dinner will be served at your stay hotel.

 

Day 7. Yangon Departure

 

Today, our guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
