Comfort Myanmar

Visit the beautiful and historic sites of Myanmar in comfort during this 7-day tour. This tour is ideal for those who like to enjoy more leisure time or those who prefer to avoid long treks and excessive walking, but still want to enjoy the full local experience, atmosphere, and scenery.

Day 1. Yangon Arrival

Upon arrival Yangon, Capital of Myanmar (Golden Land), our guide will accompany you to your hotel in Yangon where you will stay overnight.

Day 2. Yangon Sightseeing

 

After breakfast, your day will begin with sightseeing around the old colonial city of Yangon. First, visit Botahtaung pagoda to enjoy the amazing building style.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, stroll along to the famous Bogyoke (Scott) Market which was built in 1926, where you can find everything produced in Myanmar, from common products like clothing and foods to luxurious goods such as gems, jewellery and souvenirs. Enjoy the sunset view from the Shwedagon Pagoda – the most magnicient golden pagoda in all of Myanmar – transfer to your hotel and enjoy dinner at the Kara Wait floating restaurant, taste the finest of Burmese food and be entertained by traditional Burmese dances and shows. Return back to your hotel and rest overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 3. Yangon - Thanlyin

 

After breakfast, start with an excursion to Thanlyin which located on the Bago River on the opposite bank of Yangon. It takes about 45 miniutes drive from Yangon. It was colonized by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Visit some old buildings which remain as the evidence of the Portuguese invasion. It was an important trade center of Myanmar for Portuguese, Dutch and British merchants at that time. Located on a tiny island in the middle of river, visit the Yele Pagoda, a riverside market and Kyaikkhauk Pagoda. After that, drive back to the hotel and stay over night in Yangon. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and dinner will be served at your  hotel.


 

Day 4. Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock)

 

Our guide will pick you up at your hotel, proceed to Kayaikhtiyo which is situated in MON State. On the way visit Bago sightseeing includes Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda, over a thousand years old which is even taller than the Shwedagon Pagoda of Yangon, ShweTha Lyaung Reclining Buddha Image, 55 meters long and one of the country's most revered. Also, make a visit to a Cheroot factory (Burmese Cigar Factory) in Bago and see the Kyaik Pon Buddha images, built in 1476 by King Dhammazedi. Four huge sitting Buddhas placed back to back around a huge square pillar at a height of 30m representing the four Buddhas. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After lunch, continue to Maha Cedi Pagoda, where you can climb to the top and witness magnificent panoramic views of the Bago Plains. After that, drive to Kyaikhtiyo pagoda. It’s located about 1100 meters abovesea level. This small stupa was built on a large boulder which almost seems to be falling down any given moment. Stay overnight in Kim Pun base camp of Kyaikhtiyo pagoda (Golden Rock). Dinner will be served at your hotel.

 

Day 5. Kyaikhtiyo (Gloden Rock) - Yangon

 

After breakfast at hotel, take an open truck for (11 km, approx 45 minutes) on a steep but well paved road which leads to the upper staging point of Yathetaung camp. Arrive at the base camp and hop on a local truck to make the journey to the top of the mountain. Then it’s a short walk to reach the glittering Golden Rock and be rewarded with amazing views. Enjoy sunrise. The Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda at 7.3 meters high is built on a gold gilded boulder, 25 meters in circumference, and balanced in what appears to be a very precarious position on a tabular rock jutting out from a ridge in the Eastern Yoma Mountains. Kyaikhtiyo is likely to be one of Myanmar's most spiritual experiences. And then, come down from the mountain directly. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After lunch, drive back to Yangon and overnight in Yangon. Dinner will be served at your stay hotel.

 

Day 6. Yangon Leisure Day

 

Either spend an afternoon strolling through town and shopping at Bogyoke Scott Market or admire the colonial architecture of the busiest city of Myanmar. Lunch will be served at local restaurant and dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 7. Yangon Departure

Today, our guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
