Yangon- Bagan- Yangon

 

Day 1. Yangon Arrival and Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Yangon, Capital of Myanmar (Golden Land) early in the morning, our guide will accompany you to your hotel. After that, visit Botahtaung pagoda and marvel at the amazing building style. The hollow tube style of basic layered stupa that still remains  of The Lord of Buddha”, is a real sacred relic. Inside walk way many kinds of solid gold pagodas, some are covered insilk, some marble, British gold coins are lalso ocked away in a glass box on display.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant serving typical Burmese food. After lunch, stroll along “Bogyoke (Scott) Market” (c 1926), where you can find everything unique to Myanmar, from common goods from clothing and foods to luxurious goods like gems, jewellery and souvenirs.

Enjoy the sunset view from the Shwedagon Pagoda – a golden pagoda of the capital – transfer to your hotel followed by dinner at the famous floating restaurant “Karawait” and be entertained by traditional dances and shows and as a special ending for the day. Return to your hotel and overnight in Yangon.

Day 2. Yangon fly to Bagan

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport. Hop on a short flight to Bagan where the afternoon will be spent watching some of the many highlights of this famous archeological site. First, we will visit Sulamani Temple. This red-brick temple features delicate masonary work. It was built by King Narapati Sithu, son of Narathu and is a beautiful, majestic structure. Visit Bu Paya, which is a pagoda spire in the shape of gourd (Bu), after which it was named. It stands on platform overlooking the Ayeayrwaddy River, and it is one of the jetties for Bagan. This is a replica because the original collapsed into the river during the 1975 earthquake that damaged many temples. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After lunch, go ahead to Shinbin Thalyaung Temple which is inside this long, low hall of brick, a large reclining Buddha image in the pose of death, for the head rests on a pillow and is not supported by the hand. And then, visit Htilominlo temple, whichh was built to earn merit by King Nadaung, also known as htilominlo, in the 13th century. The stucco work is beautiful. Amongst them the 12th century Thatbyinnyu Temple which towers over the rest of the city. In the evening, return to you hotel and overnight in Bagan. Dinner will be served at your stay hotel.

Day 3. Bagan – Mt.Popa fly back to Yangon

In the early morning travel to Mt. Popa, a dead volcano crowned with a monastery built on the top of the volcanic plung. Climb the the 777 steps of the stairs case leading up to Popa Taungkalat Monastery. The monastery is dedicated to the 37 ancient deities, the Nats. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive back to Bangan and transfer to the Nyaung U aiport. Take a flight back to Yangon. Our guide will pick you up at the airport and you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon. Dinner will be served at your stay hotel.

Day 4. Yangon Departure

 

Spend the morning at leisure, shopping at Scott Market for last minute trinkets or admiring the colonial architecture. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
